1.0 — Design & Development

Designed and developed by Kintsu Labs in collaboration with Prolific Labs. This project represents a joint effort to create a modern, contemporary digital experience grounded in human-computer interaction principles, accessibility standards, and usable design.

Our collaborative approach prioritized creating an enjoyable, friction-free experience that authentically represents Prolific Labs' expertise while ensuring the site performs beautifully across devices and user contexts.

Design Inspiration: The modular, non-scrolling hub approach was inspired by innovative sites like dayjob.work and block.xyz, which demonstrate how contemporary web design can create engaging, interactive experiences.

2.0 — Technology Stack

Platform: Built with Framer — a modern web platform that enables sophisticated interactions and animations while maintaining performance and accessibility.

3D & WebGL: Powered by Unicorn Studio, featuring custom implementations built from publicly available projects. Special thanks to Anthony Osceola and George Hastings for their exceptional work in the creative community — their contributions made the visual storytelling possible.

Performance: Optimized for speed, accessibility, and mobile-first experiences using modern web standards and progressive enhancement techniques.

3.0 — Visual Assets

Typography: Primary typefaces include IBM Plex Mono, designed by Mike Abbink at IBM in collaboration with Bold Monday and Archivo, designed by Héctor Gatti at Omnibus-Type. Both typefaces are released under the SIL Open Font License v1.1 and were chosen for their clarity, technical aesthetic, and excellent readability across digital contexts.

Imagery: Curated blend of professional photography and AI-generated imagery sourced from Lummi, Visual Electric, and other premium visual libraries, selected to support the brand narrative and user experience.

4.0 — Accessibility & Standards

Developed with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Unruh Civil Rights Act, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines in mind to create an accessible and welcoming experience for diverse human experiences.
